Obama under fire for throwing large birthday party despite Covid public health advice

United State of America makes us laugh so hard @edge that we can’t just hold back our thoughts on the matter.. Let me put it in context here Former President Barack Obama #bestpresidentever is planning to throw a Birthday bash  and Americas are complaining getting their panties in a twist… 

Please just picture for a second the nonsense Trump got away with some much ridiculousness that America became a laughing stock on the world stage… Trump refused wearing a mask until he got sick and infect half of the Whitehouse with Covid. Or is it the intentional rallies he was holding at the height of the most deadly pandemic the world has ever witness. Please leave President Obama alone, you all can’t touch him…..singing “it is my birthday I’ll throw party if he wants to…if want to”🙌🙌🎉🥳🎉🥳

The former President has been criticised for inviting nearly 500 people to his 60th birthday party in Martha’s Vineyard, despite US health officials warning of the dangers of large gatherings during the pandemic.

The former president will have at least 200 staff on hand at his Massachusetts home this weekend to cater to the 475 invited guests, including Oprah Winfrey, George Clooney and Steven Spielberg, according to reports.

The party will be outdoors at the Obamas’ $12m (€15m), 30-acre waterfront property, where all guests will be asked to present proof of vaccination and a negative Covid-19 test.


While there are no official rules regarding outdoor gatherings, Francis Collins, the director of the National Institutes of Health, said on Sunday that big parties should be avoided considering the rise in infections in the US.

“If you’re talking about a small party like I might have at my house for six or eight people who are all fully vaccinated, I do not believe, at this point, we need to put masks on to be next to each other,” he said.


“But if there were 100 people, and, of course, how are you really going to be sure about people’s vaccination status?”


Martha’s Vineyard is near Provincetown, where a spread among vaccinated people over the July 4 holiday prompted new mask guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).


As a result of the outbreak, scientists discovered that vaccinated people who got breakthrough Covid cases had the same viral load as those who had not had the vaccine, leading the CDC once again to recommend that even those who are vaccinated continue wearing their masks indoors in areas with “high” or “substantial” spread.


The spread of the Delta variant has contributed to a new surge in infections, with the CDC reporting rising numbers of cases in nearly 90pc of jurisdictions across the United States.
