Elon Musk on Wednesday was cleared by a judge of wrongdoing in Tesla's 2016 purchase of SolarCity - a clean energy firm founded by his cousins. Musk, 50, was sued by Tesla shareholders over his decision to buy the struggling firm for $2.6 billion. They accused him of leaning on the board to buy the energy firm at a time when Musk's electric car firm was in a precarious financial position.  The shareholders were seeking $13 billion in damages. Yet on Wednesday a judge in Delaware ruled Musk did not unjustly enrich himself when he guided Tesla to acquire SolarCity Corp - a company founded in 2006 by his cousins Peter and Lyndon Rive, where Musk was chairman and the largest shareholder. Amid escalating Russia and Ukraine conflict, SpaceX and Tesla CEO Elon Musk on Monday (March 14) has apparently challenged Russian President Vladimir Putin for single combat for Ukraine.  Using the Russian alphabets to write Putin's name, Musk on his official Twitter handle wrote: "I hereby challenge Vladimir Putin to single combat. The launch of Tesla’s Cybertruck and two other upcoming vehicle models have been delayed until at least 2023 because of continued supply-chain bottlenecks, CEO Elon Musk said. In addition to the tank-like Cybertruck, which was first unveiled in 2019, Tesla is pushing back the release of its electric Semi eighteen-wheeler and Roadster sports car until at least next year, Musk told investors during the automaker’s earnings call on Wednesday. Musk also said that Tesla is pushing back development of its $25,000 car, which the company first announced in 2020 in an effort to make its vehicles more accessible to the masses.  “Well, we’re not currently working on a $25,000 car,” Musk said. “At some point, we will, but we have enough on our plate right now, too much on our plate, frankly. Tesla the U.S. electric vehicle maker Tesla Inc in August sold 44,264 China-made vehicles, including 31,379 for export, the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA) said on Wednesday. China-made Tesla sold 44,264 vehicles in August, jumping 34.26% month over month, according to the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA).  Local sales of China-made vehicles jumped to 12,885 cars last month from 8,621 cars in July. Tesla’s sales in the first month of each quarter are usually lower than the following two months. The company, which makes Model 3 sedans and Model Y sport-utility vehicles in Shanghai, sold 32,968 China-made vehicles in July and 33,155 units in June. Breaking down the monthly volume, Tesla shipped 31,379 China-made vehicles to overseas markets while the wholesale volume in China came to 12,885 vehicles, jumping 49.5% compared with the previous month.
