A very very sad day for the Royal family, a sad day for United Kingdom, a sad day for the world, a sad day for the commonwealth of Nations and a very very sad day for us all the people. As we witnessed the end of her 70 years reign, Her Royal Majesty Queen Elizabeth II has passed-on. Queen Elizabeth II, died on Thursday in her Scotland home in Balmoral.  The Queen maintained the popularity of the monarchy across decades of seismic political, social and cultural change that threatened to make it an anachronism. A dignified, dependable figure who reigned longer than any other British monarch, Elizabeth helped steer the institution into the modern world. Stripping away court ritual and making it somewhat more open and accessible, all in the glare of an increasingly intrusive and often hostile media. Prince Andrew has now paid sexual abuse accuser Virginia Roberts and has been pictured for the first time since settling with her.  Prince Andrew - Duke of York The Duke of York had last month agreed to pay a considerable sum of money, reported to be some £12 million, to settle a case brought by Ms Roberts. She had alleged she was forced to have sex with the duke three times when she was 17 under the orders of the late paedophile billionaire Jeffrey Epstein. The Prince of Wales was speaking at a ceremony to grant city status to Southend-on-Sea in Essex, following the death of MP Sir David Amess, who was stabbed at a constituency surgery last year. He said ‘no-one could have given more’ than Sir David ‘for the values which underpin society we share’.
