We want to briefly discuss the impact of this visit and the message that has been sent to the whole world. Before now, some dubious elements had been propagating the falsehood that Buhari does not respect the Yorubas.
It has always been obvious that the aim of this falsehood was to fan the embers of disunity in the country. They aimed at inseminating the spirit of hatred and bile between the Yorubas and the Fulanis in the minds of the people.
If there is something this visit has done, it has extirpated that falsehood and has further strengthened the bond between the two tribes in Nigeria.
Bola Tinubu is widely regarded as the political head of the Yoruba people and this position can not be argued. For President Buhari to visit him shows total humility and respect from the president.
It shows that he loves and respects the Yoruba nation, this love and respect has always existed even before now. Buhari represents Nigeria in his capacity as the president and also represents the North, Bola Tinubu on the other hand represents the entire south, this visit is nothing but a pellucid display of unity.
It has also sent a message to the whole world and people who were expecting Nigeria to break up. The message is that Nigerians are united despite the various challenges facing the country.
It is gladdening to see these two leaders displaying a spirit of brotherhood even outside the country, hopefully it will spread to Nigerians all over the world and bring unity back to our minds.

On this particular day, President Buhari did the right thing....... Excellent Sir
