Whats the magic behind the Nigerian Citizen.....

I look at this picture and several questions run through my mind. How are Nigeria’s truly surviving, how is the ordinary Nigerian waking up everyday in Nigeria with a smile on their face or a sense of belonging, is there something I’m missing about the country or is there something fundamentally wrong with our genetic make up. Because even the so called elites are feeling the pinch.  

Please can anyone educate me in the comments on how Nigerians are pulling off this magic, you are the most resourceful, hard working people on the planet even though you get no accolades for it or pat on the back, your government never praises your individuality and strength of character on continuous survival and weathering the Nigeria storm (Police abuse, Herdsmen Killing, Kidnapping, Bandits, Boko Haram, Citizen right violation, Army Bulling) everyday.. All government portrays of its citizen is fraud this, internet scam, Yet a young man said the president wants to marry another wife and DSS went looking him....So the government care about its image but not its citizens.

In 2021 still no stable power supply, no good roads, insecurity on the rise, kidnappings, Herdsmen, Boko Haram insurgents...etc.. minimum wage is peanuts. Yet Nigerians don’t see this injustice to their social well being as an obstacle but as a stepping stone, knowing there is something better out there and they can reach it, if not today, tomorrow, if not tomorrow, the day after..one thing for certain is they are never going to give up..

Nigeria only need a little push and they can take over the world, here is a list of a few Nigerians making us proud and giving millions hope of a better tomorrow, that they too can one day touch the stars:

We know in Nigeria you can go from Zero to Hero with the right connect but before getting to that hero the things you have to go through, the battles that awaits you at every opportunity are enormous but only by the Grace of God (inshallah) Nigerians always pull through.


I can only submit and say Nigerians I salute you all for getting up everyday and facing it head on. In the face of all forms of adversity, you strive for a better tomorrow. if only you government knows how much home grown value they have in their citizens, not to wait for the world stage to recognise you before your own country starts to give the recognition you deserve. 


Where is the Research and Development Ministry fully funded by the government seeking out young talents from every nook and cranny of the country with the mandate of bringing them together to nurture, grow and develop their talent that will essentially be beneficial and a revenue generator for the nation in the long term. 


iPhone, Cars, Bikes, Drones all started as R&D projects and metamorphous into what they are today. Before it was continuous screams of Oil Boom, we did not boom did we? We didn't take full advantage, only to sell and bring in forex, now every state and government is shouting agriculture, once again a lot noise no real significant achievements. Nigeria is bugged down with incessant bureaucracy and corruption.


While other countries have jumped on the innovation band wagon, China is displaying 5G adverts which is super realistic, countries are developing self driven cars, with plans to dump fuel in the nearest future, 5G network are been developed for super internet speed (5G up to 100 times faster than 4G). 


Where is Nigeria? Our government launched a train station (Commendable Yes but disheartening at the same time) so now what, the world should stand still in 2021 for a train station.. All the so called elites are now clamouring and jubilating like Santa just handed them a candy. 


Where is the innovation, where is the plan for 5/10/20 years from now.  Truth be told the world has moved so far ahead of us that we are not even playing catchup, more like watch me go.

We are not here to lay blame on the failure of this administration but every single administration since our independence be it military or elected office holders who could change our trajectory from a downward spiral to one of the most advance country in Africa.....Shame on all of you.
