The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has directed all banks to publish names of customers who try to break the rules on Forex acquisition on their website. The CBN on Monday, August 30th issued a circular (BSD/DIR/PUB/LAB/14/059) to all banks lamenting that it has “received and noted with concern reports of sharp practices by some unscrupulous customers to circumvent the new CBN policy on the sale of forex for overseas personal and business travel”. Some of the unwholesome practices, the CBN said: “include the use of fake visas and cancellation of air tickets after purchase of PTA/BTA”. OPEC+ forecasts a supply deficit this year even as it continues to add production, with a surplus expected in 2022. Oil headed for the biggest monthly loss since October as investors weighed the prospect of additional OPEC+ production and the restoration of crude output in the U.S. after Hurricane Ida. West Texas Intermediate fell 1.3% in New York and has declined about 7% this month. The US Department of State issued a statement on Sunday claiming Washington has received "assurances" from the Taliban* that evacuees with legal travel documents will still be able to leave the country. The militant group has asserted they will permit normal travel at the international airport following the Tuesday completion of the US withdrawal. A woman and four men were stabbed in a mass knife fight in North London   today. Paramedics were scrambled to the brawl outside the Civic Centre in Harrow, near Harrow and Wealdstone Station, at around 4am this morning as all five stab victims were rushed to hospital.  Two of the men are in a 'serious but stable condition'. Harrow Police tweeted that no arrests have been made at this stage. London Ambulance said they took the men and woman to hospital 'as a priority' after sending 'a number of resources to the scene'. Five ambulance crews, a medic in a car, two advanced paramedics, two incident response officers and London's Air Ambulance were sent to the scene. Suspected security agents have arrested Channels TV Sunrise Daily presenters over purported anti-Buhari interviews. NewsmakersNG learnt that Chamberlain Usoh and Kayode Okikiolu were picked up by operatives, believed to from the State Security Service (SSS), this morning. Their arrest is reportedly connected with interviews with Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State during which he accused President Muhammadu Buhari of promoting a Fulanisation agenda and another guest, Commodore Kunle Olawunmi (rtd), who alleged that people who are high up in Buhari’s government are sponsors of Boko Haram. BBC presenter Lisa Shaw died due to complications from the AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine, a coroner concluded today. The 44-year-old radio host died at the Royal Victoria Infirmary in the city just over three weeks after her first dose of the vaccine, heard coroner Karen Dilks. An inquest, which lasted less than an hour, was told she was admitted to hospital after she complained of headaches and doctors found a haemorrhage on her brain. In a statement issued after the hearing, Ms Shaw's family said: 'This is another difficult day in what has been a devastating time for us. 'The death of our beloved Lisa has left a terrible void in our family and in our lives. 'She truly was the most wonderful wife, mum, daughter, sister and friend.
