Edge's News: Elon wins again! Musk is cleared by judge of wrongdoing for using $2.6BN

Elon Musk on Wednesday was cleared by a judge of wrongdoing in Tesla's 2016 purchase of SolarCity - a clean energy firm founded by his cousins. Musk, 50, was sued by Tesla shareholders over his decision to buy the struggling firm for $2.6 billion. They accused him of leaning on the board to buy the energy firm at a time when Musk's electric car firm was in a precarious financial position.  The shareholders were seeking $13 billion in damages. Yet on Wednesday a judge in Delaware ruled Musk did not unjustly enrich himself when he guided Tesla to acquire SolarCity Corp - a company founded in 2006 by his cousins Peter and Lyndon Rive, where Musk was chairman and the largest shareholder. The APC had, on Wednesday, announced that the price of its presidential nomination form is N100 million. Hon.Aminu Suleiman and Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu The price was fixed at the party’s national executive committee (NEC) meeting. “I, Hon. The month-long saga of Twitter and Elon Musk has finally closed as Elon has eventually acquired the social media giant, Twitter. The story will be written in history books about how Elon went from being a shareholder to acquiring the entire company for himself. Sources reveal that Twitter has finally agreed to the deal, and Elon’s efforts never went in vain. Earlier this month, Elon backed down from his decision to join the company’s board of directors and instead decided to take the leap of faith. He offered to buy Twitter for $44 billion. The pro-European centrist Emmanuel Macron has vowed to unite a divided France after winning a second term as French president in a decisive victory against the far-right’s Marine Le Pen, who nonetheless won more than 13 million votes in a historic high for her anti-immigration party. Macron became the first French leader to win re-election for 20 years, scoring 58.54% to Le Pen’s 41.46%. Addressing a victory rally at the foot of the Eiffel Tower, where his supporters waved French and European flags, Macron vowed to respond “efficiently” to the “anger and disagreement” of voters who chose the far right. “I know that a number of French people have voted for me today, not to support my ideas but to stop the ideas of the far right,” he said and called on supporters to be “kind and respectful” to others, because the country was riven by “so much doubt, so much division”.
